14 October update

It has been a busy few weeks with a lot of visitors coming to town...
The weekend of Sept 26 Papaw came to visit. He got into town just in time for mom and dad to leave for a party. We had a couple hours away with some friends then back home to go out to dinner to our favorite place - McGurks.

After Papaw left on Sunday, Evelyn went to play at her friend Natalie's house. They got dressed up and showed off their halloween costumes. Then later that night, mom cut Evelyn's hair. IT looks so cute.
Can you say trouble???

We celebrated our 4 year anniversary on Oct 1 with dinner at home followed by Evelyn's little gym class. To celebrate we all went out for ice cream after Ev's class.

The following weekend Oct3-6, Babu came to visit for a couple days. She too arrived just in time for mom and dad to leave for a trip to the winery to celebrate Choo Choo's birthday. Nothing like saying hi, bye, thanks for watching our kid two weekends in a row. :) On Sunday, we went to the pumpkin patch and picked pumpkins, then came home and played on the playground. Monday and Tuesday we just hung out until Babu had to fly home.

Then last week Great Grams and Gramps came to visit for a couple days. They got to see Ev tumble and play in her little gym class. Evelyn was so excited they were there and that she got ice cream two weeks in a row.

Even with all the visitors we still found time to watch the Yankees sweep the Twinkies!!!

Hot Air Balloon Glow

18 September...Friday night we all went to the hot air balloon glow in Forrest Park. It was really neat being able to walk up to the balloons and see them light up.

Evelyn really enjoyed the hot air balloons. Although, we think she enjoyed watching the gymnastics kids doing flips and jumps on the trampoline a little more.

Dads weekend away

12-13 September...While dad went on a golf weekend with some guys from work, mom and Evelyn did a little playing of their own. On Friday, we went to the zoo for a free night of seeing the animals, riding the train, riding the merry-go-round, and having a picnic in the park. Then on Saturday, we went to the St Louis Polish Festival with our neighbors Mark and ChooChoo.

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend we were actually at home! Crazy huh? We did some things around the house and painted the garage floor. But the really exciting thing was that Ev has decided that she is a big girl and is now determined to go on the potty! She has had a couple of dry days already! I knew that once she was ready it would be pretty fast! Mom and Dad are so proud!

Mom's Triathlon in Chicago

At the end of August we were off to Chicago on the 28th for mom to complete her triathalon...which she did...whoooo hooooo! Now mom is going to rest for awhile. Hopefully we will post pictures soon. Grandma and Grandpa Dale were able to join us for the event.

Swimming in the 64 degree water of Lake Michigan...

After the race with mom and Ev...

Back at the hotel with Lori and ChooChoo.

Late August Adventures

We sure are busy. The weekend of August 22nd and 23rd we went boating with Mark and Choo choo at the Lake of the Ozarks. Ev really seemed to like boating except that it was pretty cool. We spent a lot of time cruising the lake and just relaxing.

Took a break for the weekend...

Here are some pics from our weekend with Mark and Choo choo (aka Rachel) our neighbors at Norfork Lake in AR. We had a blast just hanging out and doing nothing!

Babu Pictures

As promised some pics from the visit to Babu's House last month. Babu had a 60th wedding anniversary party for PraBabu and PraDziadziu and we also had a picnic at the beach with the Woodside fam. This time Evelyn liked the sand!

New sitters!!!

Evelyn LOVED her new sitters yesterday. They were very sweet and seemed to really love Ev too. So, they are coming back today so mom can go swim laps. Whoo hooo mom is excited...

July 2009

Since I'm a little behind I thought I would share some things we did in July with everyone...
We went to the zoo over 4th of July weekend. Evelyn loved the Elephants, she even got to see one give itself a bath! We love the zoo here because its free and you can bring in food so we had a picnic before we left.

We painted the garage!

Ev helped a lot! Turns out she is a pretty good painter! What child labor laws :)
We went to visit Babu in Syracuse. I will have to upload some pics of our trip later. We got to see everyone and Ev got to play with her cousins Jacquline, Cooper and Nathan. Also, Moops (Meredith) taught Ev some songs that she will not stop singing...Bringing home a bumblebee and The Turtle in the bathtub song...if you don't know those songs just call up Ev and she will be happy to sing them for you! Look for pics soon!

We went to the Butterfly House. Ev thought it was neat but didn't like that the butterfly's fly at your head...mom thought it was cool though.

Her favorite butterflies were the blue morpho (like Diego) and one that looked like an owl's eye...we almost stepped on one.

I am about to leave work today to go meet our new sitters. Evelyn is going to try out two sisters of our neighbors. Hopefully, everyone like each other and it works out. Then maybe Chris and I can have a date night sometime! :) Wish us luck!

Here we go again!

Ok so I'm going to try this again. I have no idea what my other blog was even called so it is lost out there in never-never-land. This is my second attempt at keeping everyone updated with the goings on in our crazy busy lives. Please bare with me while I get things set up.
